Transmissions was created using various synth setups and experiments in patching and human interaction with the devices.
Raw experimental scratching with aggressive drum sequencing and alien space drones is what's to expect on this project.

The title comes from the giant Transmission towers that distribute electricity from place to place. Similar to how patch cables transmit control voltage to other modules to modulate and make them come alive. Each Module is a transmission tower and the patch cables are the electrical wires.

Each section is supposed to be listened to as if it was on analog mixtape or record. Or if you were listening to a hidden pirate radio station you stumbled upon. Similar to how mixtapes or radio shows were back in the day.

Over 70 minutes worth of music to keep you company on your next journey.

The Transmission tower on the cover is from my bike rides up Mount San Miguel a mountain I have been riding. I usually stop at this particular tower to take a break before I continue my Journey to the top.

Tenshun uses various Eurorack modules. All Percussion sounds are field recordings that i later chopped and mangled using synthesis.

All scratches were played using the SC1000 scratch instrument. It was connected to a particular synth and drum machine that I put together to make it all interact and play together as if it was a band jamming together.

All vocal samples were from either records or old videos.

It was recorded all in Reaper using a MOTU UltraLite MK3 interface and then chopped and edited into a giant sound collage.
